The Global Alliance for Healthy Society (GAHSO) is a youth-led NGO founded in 2016 to facilitate all-round empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Kenya. We are based in Siaya south western Kenya. 

Our main objective is to support vulnerable and marginalized communities , in particular the youth ,persons with disabilities, women and people injecting drugs in Kenya.

Besides, programmatic work, GAHSO is also committed to promoting and advocating for social, legal, cultural, and economic inclusivity particularly for the marginalized population in the society.



GAHSO supports vulnerable and marginalized communities, in particular, the youth, persons with disabilities and women in Kenya in the following sectors:

(a)  Health - public health services (including hygiene, epidemiology, and disease  prevention).

(b) Education. 

(c) Sustainable livelihoods (including climate-smart agriculture).

(d) Empowerment of the vulnerable and marginalized.


  • To stimulate and enhance access to quality health care for improved efficiency in economic activities by consorting with other service providing bodies.
  • To build the capacity of beneficiaries to adopt new technologies and approaches to agribusiness for transference knowledge and skills for improved and sustainable agribusiness production and economic empowerment.
  • To reduce illiteracy through promotion and provision of quality education services to people with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable school going children
  • Build the capacity of youth to actively engage in leadership, good governance and sustainable livelihoods.
  • To support and deliver water and sanitation services for improved health through supply and building of safe water and sanitation facilities.
  • To build the capacity of target groups to advocate for good governance and accountability and ensure participation of marginalized population on issues that affect their lives at county and national levels.
  • Provide rehabilitative care for the elderly, people with disabilities and drug users.
  • To promote use of information, communication and technology in order to enhance transfer and dissemination of knowledge and skills.
  • Integrate gender equality and adaptation to climate change in all programming and activities.
